This week I've been playing at setting up still life arrangements to photograph and paint from. I came across Paul Cary Goldberg's photos here and here. Very inspiring. Partly of course I am inspired to just give up camera use in general, but in a good way. -Polly

Its summertime, and the living is a little messy. There are toys and muddy footprints where I don't want them. Sand and food remnants where they do not belong. Having two (three counting the tall one) boys here to create these cleaning projects is wonderful though, and so sometimes are the little things I find left behind at the end of a busy messy day. -Polly
Hello. Welcome to my studio blog. I am an artist, a Mom and wife. I also consider myself a career artist though I work at other things most days. I studied textile design at the Rhode Island School of Design. After graduating, I began weaving fine scarves. Next I added a husband, some great kids, and a few too many animals to the mix. Now I try to balance artwork, job-work, family life, and some athletic aspirations. This blog is my own record of studio projects in progress, and some of the diversions that slow me down.
